Round two - second victory!

After a great start to the season and an away win against TK Futur with a convincing 6:1 last weekend, this weekend brought us another away trip, this time to face the team from TK Špansko.

Although we were left without a single proper training session due to persistent rain throughout the week, the wonderful hosts, cheerful atmosphere and sunny weather provided all the ingredients for yet another true rhapsody from the Savica team.

Mislav and Brki continue to be a lethal duo on courts 2 and 3, once again recording convincing straight-set wins. On court one, Sokol, battling a cold, managed to fight out a win in 3 sets in a tense match against 19-year-old Kufner, who was battling the effects of a night out.

Our Jura was a true warrior, managing to turn around a 2:5 deficit in the first set in the longest match of the day, celebrating 7:5 6:3 against Birtić in a very demanding match. The match of the day, however, was probably the doubles encounter in which Mislav and Jura faced the pair Marić/Jeđud. In a very high-quality match full of great shots, there were cramps, blood and broken rackets, but nothing could stop our brilliant duo on their way to victory in two tight sets (7:5 7:5). On court two, Škof and Brkanac smoothly got the job done with 6:2 6:2, even though Brki felt like it "wasn't his arms and legs".

So, under the watchful eye of our captain, we achieved a convincing 7:0 victory and secured another 4 league points, keeping us in first place with a maximum number of points after two rounds played.
