Purger proved better - Chromos misses qualifications for the 2nd league
TK Purger convincingly better, winning 7:0
In a direct match that decided the placement in the play-off for the Second Croatian Tennis League, our club hosted the team from TK Purger. Although we put up a good fight, Purger ultimately took the win with a convincing result of 0:7.
On the first board, Sokol started off great and led against Nikolić 3:1, but then completely ran out of steam physically. Brki put up excellent resistance in the second set against a brilliant Glavaš, but still couldn't take the match into the lottery of a third set. At the same time, Majdiš, in his first appearance of the season, played an extremely strong match against the young Pižurica.
Although this leaves us without a chance of entering the Second League this year, we must certainly congratulate our guys on the great progress compared to last season. The main goal for this season has been achieved - being competitive and fighting for the top of the group.
Perhaps even more important than this year's leap in results, this year we can truly see positive changes within the club itself. The Chromos league has been launched, there is more play and training, and our captain Ivor is diligently pushing and encouraging the revival of the club - in the coming weeks we also expect the renovation of three additional courts.
